Web3D Consortium Membership Benefits and Resources
The Consortium defines Directing and Organizational member classes that enables participation by any interested corporation, academic institution, government and military organization. Directing and Organizational members can register an unlimited number of individuals from their enterprise to participate in work groups.
Individuals not affiliated with a large company or academic institution may participate as Professional or Student members.
All business below the Board is conducted in Work Groups which are open to any member. All working group mailing lists, minutes and draft specifications are confidential to Consortium members. Work Groups may be created to accomplish tasks such as the following:
- Creating, evolving and maintaining a Specification
- Creating and maintaining a Conformance Package
- Marketing activities
