Korea Chapter WG Meeting Minutes 

Date: May 5, 2010

Present: Dick Puk, Don Brutzman, Dr. Yong-Sang Cho, Myeong Won Lee and Anita
Havele. 

 

Topics discussed:

IMS and Web3D Partnership

.         Dr. Yong-Sang Cho will discuss with Dr. Rob Abel (CEO - IMS) about
a partnership (liaison agreement) between Web3D Consortium and IMS at the
IMS conference workshop in Long Beach on May 21, 2010.

.         Anita to send existing MOU between OGC and Web3D to Dr Yong-Sang
Cho

.         Dr. Yong-Sang Cho to send technical and talking points for this
collaboration to the group. 

.         Draft a document describing this relationship for the IMS workshop
on May 21, 2010. 

.         Dr. Yong-Sang Cho's team can contribute on several items with IMS
Accessibility for X3D e-Book to define learner profile and content
accessibility for learning, education and training. 

.         Propose a dialogue between SC24 and SC36 to investigate best
practices for formal changes to Web3D and IMS standards.

.         Send a call to the Web3D community for participation in this
effort.

 

E-Book

.         Current E-Book Framework and UI involves navigating text and
images only. 

.         The group is proposing extending this interface to include other
media types and n-dimensional presentation states. 

.         What is required - specification draft, example scenes, one
implementation for X3D e-book. 

.         Fraunhofer likely to contribute towards this effort.

Web3D Korea Chapter Meeting at Siggraph 2010 invoice approved by Myeong Won
