Bod members, Korea Chapter members and Web3D Consortium colleagues:

Attached please find a draft report from Web3D to ISO Standards Committee 24 (SC24)
Working Group 9 on AR by Gun Lee, our AR group chair. Also attached are his
excellent summary slides from Web3D and SIGGRAPH 2012 conferences. Discussions
there were totally helpful to get everyone synchronized & harmonized.

In addition to the technical points in Gun's draft, we plan to communicate
the following priorities. These were discussed on this morning's weekly
X3D Working Group teleconference.

- We expect to rename X3D AR Group to X3D Augmented Reality Continuum (ARC)
- We expect our X3D ARC WG to contribute to the WG9 ARC reference model
- We seek feedback regarding the SC24 / SC29 liaison, building on expected progress
with a Liaison Working Group for SC24/SC29/Web3D/Khronos/MPEG4/et al. for
a shared compressed binary transmission format
- We do not yet have visibility into ARML 2.0 and cannot comment or consider it yet

All feedback welcome. I will work on a combined document in Brussels, coordinated
with Gun, to ensure all issues are integrated clearly.

This is really great and important progress, thanks to all members who are
contributing to these valuable ARC efforts. Thanks especially to Gun and Gerry
for steadfast progress forward.
