Dear Web3D Community~

I am pleased to announce a beta release of our new design tool and  
curriculum for architects: SAFAS Structure And Form Analysis System:

for download, FAQ and video tutorials for the tool. Note: you will  
need a student account to submit your design to the structural  
simulator on the VT server.


The SAFAS tool is based on Xj3D and was the subject of a Web3D 2010 paper,
Cognitive Scaffolding in Web3D Learning Systems: A Case Study for Form  
and Structure. As it is evolving, we look forward to comments from the  
community to we improve the effectiveness of this X3D tool for  
eLearning and scientific visualization. Please email your comments to
