PTM is a proposed new capability for the upcoming X3D v3.4.

Kwanhee Yoo has a standalone C++ implementation, he is now looking for
an example X3D browser and is planning to add it to Xj3D source in the
NPS branch for experimentation.

There will be X3D DTD and Schema forthcoming for version 3.4. Haven't
started it yet. We recently put finishing touches on v3.3 and the
wurvey of all working groups. The X3D Working Group is now laying out
detailed plans for v3.4 and v4.0 to allow a variety of parallel work
this year.

I believe the latest version of the proposal is at

Kwanhee Yoo, can we please plan to update this documentation on an
upcoming teleconference. Also wondering if it is move this to the
public website? An important task remains to build one or two example
scenes so that we can all examine how you propose to integrate these
nodes into the X3D scene graph.

all the best, Don
