But, while I understand that the attachment file has some relation to the jar (as in Java) format, the desktop environments I have available don’t recognize this as a zip file, and my installed jar executable won’t touch it either.<br>
<br>
I recommend that if you distribute compressed archives, especially with a well known extension .zip, you use the conventional compression technique, the one that long ago was created by PKWARE and has since been included as standard in desktop environments<br>
