X3D Content Authors and Browser Vendors/Creators:

Come join another X3D <http://www.web3d.org/events/details/x3d-plugfest/>
Plugfest to test X3D browser and content interoperability.

This X3D Plugfest will be held at the fourteenth annual International
<http://www.web3d2009.org/> Web3D Symposium, to be held at
<http://www.igd.fraunhofer.de%20> Fraunhofer IGD in Darmstadt, Germany from
June 15-17, 2009. More information is available at:
<http://www.web3d2009.org/program> 2009 Web3D Symposium Program.

This event will test how different browsers play the same content. Bring
your browser, creative work or challenging code to help improve X3D
specification wording and compliance. Specification authors and browser
implementers will come together to debate the finer points of the X3D
specification and to defend their interpretations.

The goal of this event is to have a better understanding of what content
works similarly between browsers and where the X3D specification and
implementations need more work. If you have submitted content to our
previous X3D Plugfests please update your content at X3D Plugfest
<http://www.web3d.org/x3d/wiki/index.php/X3D_Plugfest>

Please submit your new problem content at: X3D 2009 Plugfest
<http://www.web3d.org/x3d/wiki/index.php/X3D_Plugfest> . The deadline to
submit content is Thursday June 11, 2009. Pre submission is strongly
recommended, as this will allow time to review the material beforehand. If
conditions permit, material submitted at the event will be considered.

We expect to uncover the following types of issues:

 * Browser Bugs

 * Specification interpretation issues

 * Specification Errors

 * Invalid Content

We'd like to concentrate on X3D Interactive and Immersive level content, but
Scripts and Protos are also encouraged.

Include a description of the problem and the results from the browsers
you've tested. Specify whether the content can be released publically or
just distributed to browser implementers for testing.

A report will be generated from the X3D Plugfest detailing the issues found
and the recommendations.

Thanks!

Anita
