What would really be helpful is a page, perhaps a Wiki? where different 
x3d implementors
can post (perhaps in a tabular form) which parts of that spec they 
support, and what
extensions if any they have provided. Scripts in Vivaty won't run in 
Contact and vice versa,
for example, due to such differences.
