[X3D-Public] Ongoing discussion of declarative 3D in web browsers

I've started a thread on declarative 3D on the public WebGL mailing list. I just wanted to invite anyone interested to come join in the discussion. You can join the WebGL mailing list or just view the archives by going here:

This discussion is an outgrowth of a thread that started on the public-html list about including X3D natively in web browsers. I am continuing the thread on the WebGL list rather than here because these are just my own ideas which are heavily influenced by my WebGL work. I felt it would be inappropriate and out of context to push those ideas here.

But I value the insights of the members of this list, so please join if you have the bandwidth. I can't stress enough though, that this thread is just my thoughts and doesn't indicate a direction WebGL is taking. It's just an open discussion on ideas that may (or may not) have value.
