[X3D-Public] Multimedia Web Ontology Language (MOWL)

Is anyone following MOWL or MPEG-7 and can say what it's relationship to X3D/VRML is?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multimedia_Web_Ontology_Language

For example, where are the semantics of X3D stored, like, what is Sphere?

I tried going here:

http://www.web3d.org/x3d/specifications/ISO-IEC-19775-X3DAbstractSpecification/Part01/components/geometry3D.html#Sphere

Which I found in this document: http://www.web3d.org/x3d/content/x3d-3.1.xsd

but got a 404 Not Found

For example, in the schema, Sphere does not specify how many dimensions it has, so it could be a point, or two points in one dimension, a circle in two dimensions, or a hypersphere in dimensions greater than 3 (animated).

MOWL looks like the brainchild of a couple of people. Is schema sufficient for X3D/VRML, or do we need ontology?

Thanks!

John
