[X3D-Public] Geolocation API Specification

The following Geolocation proposed recommendation is of general interest to X3D AR and Geospatial developers.  It is developed by the W3C Geolocation Working Group.

It would be interesting to route events from an HTML5 page supporting the Geolocation API in Javascript into an X3DOM scene. It would be further interesting to compare this approach to the proposed GpsSensor node that has been considered for X3D.

    Abstract

This specification defines an API that provides scripted access to geographical location information associated with the hosting device.
