Yes.  Note that wherever appropriate, I have tried to provide warnings
embedded in the output .wrl and on the console when such conversions have 
any difficulty due to an X3D feature not being supported in VRML97.
In general however, any scene that fits within the X3D Immersive Profile
will convert successfully to VRML97.

Looking ahead:  there are some windows batch files in there to perform
the conversions, and also Ant build.xml examples in the project.
If anyone wants to contribute one or more stylesheets such as
StylesheetName.command.sh for Mac or StylesheetName.sh for Linux,
to simplify their default execution, then I will be happy to
integrate them into the X3D sourceforge archive resources.
