Announcement: NPS has copied the full Xj3D codebase and history from xj3d.org and uploaded everything to the Sourceforge Xj3D site.

We are following the "Xj3D Evolution" strategy, maintained online at

Thanks for the great work Don!

I was able to check it out the trunk and all of branches (which, taken together, are quite large).

Besides the trunk, the other branch of interest is the NPS branch.

Then tried to build the NPS branch. It worked. 8)

Then changed directory to the trunk. Ran 'ant build' and 'ant test' successfully. However changing directory to /bin and running browser.bat and browser.sh failed.

Terry Norbraten plans to review, reconcile and propose potential paths forward for versioning and releases.

I believe that the majority of Xj3D website bytes are various binary releases.

So a good approach would be to put the non-release files in a subtree somewhere to keep a record of that prior work.

all the best, Don
