Really, don't worry if they call them a Bone, just think of a Joint.

Since Collada is necessarily(?) a subset(?) of full X3D scene/event 
content, we should analyze the glTF schema and maybe we determine 
minimum X3D browser support level(s) for glTF import/export by X3D 
bowser. For sure we should know agreement and straighforward 
transcoding (or exclusion) everywhere.
