You can use the X3D Validator to check .x3d files against a helpful set of Quality Assurance (QA) tests.

Some players are more forgiving (or more vulnerable) to authoring errors than others.  Best bet is to make sure your content is correct.

Incidentally that excellent example by Joe Williams was contributed to the X3D Basic Examples Archive at

Looks fine to me in Cobweb this evening.

... unless i'm missing something, all that pulsing and throbbing logos make my elderly eyes water!
