Actually, I just tested latest view3dscene (3.15.0) on the model from
http://x3dGraphics.com/examples/X3dForAdvancedModeling/GeometricShapes/ExtrusionExamplesTest.x3d
, and it's handled perfectly:) Attaching the screenshot.

We have put quite a lot of sweat to handle all Extrusion cases
correctly in view3dscene:)

Please download the latest view3dscene from
http://castle-engine.sourceforge.net/view3dscene.php . If for some
reason the latest version doesn't work for you, it may be something
specific to your GPU, please submit a bug through
https://sourceforge.net/p/castle-engine/tickets/ . Thanks!
