To accommodate SIGGRAPH Asia and at the request of the Executive
Director, the migration of Web3D online services is being postponed
until Saturday/Sunday. Details of the migration and the detailed
schedule information is below.

Event: Server Shutdown and Move
What: All Web3D Consortium online resources
When: 23:30 GMT Saturday (10 December 2016)
  - Los Angeles, Pacific Coast: 15:30PST Saturday
  - Detroit, East Coast: 18:30 EST Saturday
  - London, GMT/UTC: 23:30
  - Paris, Barcelona, Darmstadt, Munich: 00:30 CET Sunday
  - Seoul: 8:30 KST Sunday
  - Brisbane: 9:30 AEST
  - Perth: 7:30 AWST
Who: Everyone, worldwide
Expected Duration: 3 hours

All of the Web3D Consortium’s websites and server architecture will be
moved to a new server. The server will only host Web3D Consortium sites
and material. The new server has been in test for the last three weeks
and all known issues have been fixed. The final migration will move all
existing content, including web sites, support files, email, mail lists,
and documents from the existing server to the new server. This includes
web3d.org and web3d2017.web3d.org.

During the migration all Web3D Consortium sites and accounts will be
unavailable. The migration is scheduled to start at the times listed
above. If you have an issue with this date/time, please immediately
contact Anita Havele, Vince Marchetti, or me. This message is being sent
individually to the lists below. You will receive one message per list.
Please do not reply to the list.
• bod
• cad
• consortium
• h-anim
• med
• x3d
• x3d-public

After migration, the DNS entries on the legacy (current) and new server
will be adjusted to account for the new server IP address. This will be
automatic and take effect immediately. The change should be immediately
apparent to all users because the cache time has been decreased for the
last three weeks. If you using a non-standard IP caching arrangement,
then you may experience some problems. The legacy server will remain
unavailable after migration to minimize the chance of unintentional use.

If you have any questions, please address them to webmaster either
directly or via the contact page on the site
(http://www.web3d.org/contact).
