Don,

First, sorry about the outburst, I have fixed it below.

I don’t think this Cobweb version is working on the X3D examples website:

http://www.web3d.org/x3d/content/examples/Basic/Shaders/SimpleShaderIndex.html

I think it may have something to do with some gl_ shader variables not being available. Try replacing with x3d_ for cobweb, and declaring them in the shader (I don’t think it will work otherwise, but I could be wrong). You will probably have to provide modified shader code in addition to the normal glsl shader. If providing an alternate URL for cobweb will work, I would do it—I am unsure what would happen. We may have to provide an alternate URL for each X3D vendor. Sigh!

Suggest a link from Cobweb layout page in archive back to source code page, if possible.

Cool demo of X3D Shaders.  Is this portable between X3D viewers????  IF NOT, THEN IT’S NOT A STANDARD! I WANT A STANDARD!

Cobweb is now at v3.1, corresponding Web3D online examples are all updated.

Created a video and some images today to publicize an especially excellent demo on the Cobweb page.

Screenshots published:

Holger also provided an excellent HTML layout for X3D Example Archives.  This has been added as default for the "Cobweb" link on the X3D Example Archive pages.  Example scenes with interaction and prototypes:
