B. Summary and Technical reports

Opportunity for anyone to make a short report on Web site, marketing,
communication, specification or technical matters that is not already on the
Agenda.

1.	Report on Mantis SG meeting held Thursday 28th September 2017

Reference:
http://web3d.org/mailman/private/x3d_web3d.org/2017-October/006355.html

Roy summarized 6 Mantis issues, of which two were agreed and updated to
Assigned, two needed feedback from the Geospatial Working Group and were
updated to Feedback, and the remaining two were updated to Acknowledged, as
more discussion was required.

2.	Report on Mantis SG meeting held Monday 2nd October 2017

Reference:
http://web3d.org/mailman/private/x3d_web3d.org/2017-October/006365.html

Roy summarized 3 Mantis issues, of which two were agreed and updated to
Assigned, while the third was updated to Acknowledged.

3.	Updated HTML specification

Roy reported that the W3C HTML specification (https://www.w3.org/TR/html/)
is now at HTML 5.1 Edition 2 as of yesterday, 3rd October 2017. The list of
changes can be seen at https://www.w3.org/TR/html/changes.html#changes.

4.	Declarative WebVR Community Group

Leonard made a preliminary announcement that on November 6th 2017 at the W3C
TPAC the Declarative WebVR community group will have a meeting in the early
afternoon to discuss VR in a browser. The Declarative WebVR community group
is looking at developing an HTML extension for VR.

5.	VR and WebVR strategy statement

The issue of a Web3D Consortium strategy statement on VR and WebVR for V4.1
was raised. It was noted that we have the MAR reference model, ISO/IEC DIS
18039 (https://www.iso.org/standard/30824.html) currently processing through
ISO. Furthermore, WebVR (https://w3c.github.io/webvr/) is still an active
area of work. It was agreed to add this topic to next week's agenda.

6.	Indentation within message replies

Don reported that indentation (i.e. use of "<") within messages is
inconsistent. For example
http://web3d.org/mailman/private/x3d_web3d.org/2017-October/006367.html has
it, whereas
http://web3d.org/mailman/private/x3d_web3d.org/2017-September/006321.html
does not. Further investigation is needed.
