John:

A number of proposed example-scene patches look like the following.

- <GeoViewpoint description='default' fieldOfView='0.3' geoSystem='"UTM" "Z10" "N"' orientation='1.0 0.0 0.0 -1.570796' position='4342525.5 740604 26366.119141'>
- <GeoOrigin DEF='ORIGIN' geoCoords='4342525.5 740604 0' geoSystem='"UTM" "Z10" "N"' rotateYUp='true'/>
+ <GeoViewpoint description='default' fieldOfView='0.3' geoSystem='"UTM" "Z10"' orientation='1.0 0.0 0.0 -1.570796' position='4342525.5 740604 26366.119141'>
+ <GeoOrigin DEF='ORIGIN' geoCoords='4342525.5 740604 0' geoSystem='"UTM" "Z10"' rotateYUp='true'/>

Mantis issue 938 covers this issue. It is not fully resolved administratively but is attached. From the commentary it seems clear that arguments lean towards retaining "N" as an optional suffix in UTM values.

Ongoing status (requiring Web3D member access) is at

Any other comments that might help finish resolution of this issue will be welcome.

In the meantime, I won't be stripping "N" from any of these geoSystem values.

all the best, Don
