[x3d-public] status of X3D json project

For the most part x3d can be considered a superset of glTF. The core of
glTF is focused deliberately to enable wide support and efficient transport
of assets between platforms. That is why it is more natural to reference
and absorb glTF into X3D than X3D into glTF.

That being said X3D has a profile mechanism to define limits and glTF has
an extension mechanism. These mechanisms could allow for X3D content to be
integrated in glTF. There may be existing extensions which allows glTF to
be referenced in another glTF scene. These could then be the basis for
defining how a X3D profile could be included in glTF. Such integration
could be interesting for organizations which use both formats widely.
