Am happy to announce that X3DJSAIL now has support for launching Blender and MeshLab programmatically in headless" mode to perform a variety of conversions.

X3D Java Scene Access Interface Library (X3DJSAIL)
X3DJSAIL supports programmers with standards-based X3D Java interfaces and objects, all as open source.
	http://www.web3d.org/specifications/java/X3DJSAIL.html

Example invocations, via CommandLine or within a Java program, are provided in detail:

	http://www.web3d.org/specifications/java/X3DJSAIL.html#Blender

	http://www.web3d.org/specifications/java/X3DJSAIL.html#MeshLab

Acknowledgement: Blender python scripts by National Institutes of Health (NIH) 3D Print Exchange were instrumental to building this capability.

TODO: am looking to improve the snapshot capture to match each model viewpoint. If anyone with Blender python script experience is interested, please let us know. Current scripts are available at

	https://sourceforge.net/p/x3d/code/HEAD/tree/www.web3d.org/x3d/stylesheets/java/src/python/blenderScripts/

Having fun with X3D and Java! 8)

all the best, Don
