3D-Online.com <http://3d-online.com/> was Mitch Williams' site. Mitch was a long-time 3D and X3D developer and educator who passed away earlier this year.

The site http://www.3d-online.com/ <http://www.3d-online.com/> showcases his book "WebGL HotShot" from 2014, available for sale at https://www.packtpub.com/web-development/webgl-hotshot <https://www.packtpub.com/web-development/webgl-hotshot>

The page John pointed out contains download links for 2 zip archives:
http://www.3d-online.com/Dynamic-3D_X3D_open_source_code/Dynamic-X3D.zip
http://www.3d-online.com/Dynamic-3D_X3D_open_source_code/Dynamic-3D.zip <http://www.3d-online.com/Dynamic-3D_X3D_open_source_code/Dynamic-3D.zip>

which contain Java code (source & compiled) for VRML and X3D browsers implemented as Java applets. These are described as open-source but no explicit license is granted, and copyright is asserted for "3D-Online.com <http://3d-online.com/>"

I agree with John that it would be appropriate to remove the link to this particular page should be removed from our list of Resources, but we should continue to reference Mitch's book.
