➢ and then screwing with the mesh in Javascript

You don’t need javascript, necessarily, for any of the things you mention. For mesh messing, look at coordinateInterpolator. There are lots of ways to make meshes work. Also look at hanim skin.

➢ Now I know what some VRML code looks like

When you figure how to read the syntax diagrams in the standard, then it gets a lot easier.

Subject: [x3d-public] Beginner questions part 2 :)

Thanks all, thanks to everyone who answered, thanks Joe! :) Now I know what some VRML code looks like! :) Btw, will that code make it *interactive*? Like, the cursor keys will allow me to move around inside that "room"? How do I do that? Btw, you guys should know that I DID dig up an old VRML book that I had from years ago, and I will start reading it soon as I finish one that I'm reading right now :) (where I'm reading about Graphs, btw! :) )
Btw, Joe, I DO want to look "under the covers", that's the basic joy of computing! :) However, that being said, I am *also* interested in making stuff in Blender, and then screwing with the mesh in Javascript - I think that's probably the coolest thing in the world! :) Is there coverage of this kind of thing in the "Extensible 3D for Web Authors" book?

Anyway, I'll sign off now, anything more to say, I'll come back later :)
Take care all.
