FYI,

Total build time for final ant command is around 23 minutes currently

So you’ve got time to get a bite to eat😊.

Dr Aono,

I had to do a single svn cleanup & svn up from the www.web3d.org folder.  Now I will build.

(assuming you are in www.web3d.org folder)

cd x3d/stylesheets

ant create.X3DJSAIL

then go to pyjnius:

cd java/src/python/pyjnius #  (our working folder)

ant

will start conversions from X3D to python in X3dForWebAuthors.

You can examine python in

cd www.web3d.org/x3d/stylesheets/content/examples/X3dForWebAuthors (the folder on the file system, look in various chapters).

Looks successful from here.  That is, there are still errors.

I don’t think this will process all examples.   Don probably has some other build.xml’s

What is needed is an X3D-Edit tutorial on installing, or another IDE, if you so desire.  I’m pretty much focused on shell and a little bit of anaconda/jupyter right now.

If
                svn checkout https://svn.code.sf.net/p/x3d/code/www.web3d.org www.web3d.org
fails, then do:
                cd www.web3d.org
svn cleanup   # repeat from this command
                svn up

Hopefully, this will give you a clean checkout, or repeat until it’s stuck on a particular file.  We can provide specific files to patch.

I think

➢ svn checkout https://svn.code.sf.net/p/x3d/code/www.web3d.org www.web3d.org

would be more appropriate.  Thanks for your patience.

Let me know if there is further problems.  I recommend putting www.web3d.org (checked out folder) in C:/x3d-code

The main checkout link has way too much archived stuff. You just want www.web3d.org (the folder, sorry that it’s a link here, not intended)

If you still have difficulties, I will try to reproduce.

Dear John and all,
Sorry for stupid question.
How do I get the entire data?
The Web site suggests
    svn checkout https://svn.code.sf.net/p/x3d/code/ x3d-code
Is this not the right way?
Thanks in advance.
