[x3d-public] Enhancing X3D JSON -> STL

I am looking for JavaScript support for X3D JSON or  DOM document
conversion to STL, both on the server and in the browser.  Ideally, this
would take curved or extruded surfaces and convert to triangles.

I know about earcut.js but I don’t know if it’s suitable for the use case.

Once we get STL done, we will work on PLY.
