In American Sign Language (ASL), the phrase "peace be with you" can be
translated as:
1.
Make the sign for "peace" by holding your dominant hand in front of your
chest, with the palm facing down and the fingers pointing towards the
ground. Then, move your hand back and forth slightly.
2.
Make the sign for "be" by holding your dominant hand in front of your
chest, with the palm facing inward and the fingers pointing upwards. Then,
move your hand forward and back slightly.
3.
Make the sign for "with" by holding your dominant hand in front of your
chest, with the palm facing inward and the fingers pointing upwards. Then,
move your hand towards the side of your body, as if you are pointing at
someone standing next to you.
4.
Make the sign for "you" by pointing your index finger at the other
person.
Therefore, the phrase "peace be with you" in ASL would be signed as
follows: peace (hand movement), be (hand movement), with (hand movement),
you (index finger pointing).
