X3D and before that VRML defined PROTOs to allow users to expand on
the language and offer features that made content developers lives
easier.<br>

X3DOM currently does not support PROTOs. There were some discussions
during Web3D2015 about how to include them. This discussion is
should they be available for an HTML5 environment, is there an
existing work-around, and how to implement them.<br>
