<br>First we should meditate the structure of IPv4 addresses as compared to telephone numbers.

<br>Telephone numbers have got inherent geographic information, where Jon Postel tried to avoid geographic information in the Internet as far as possible (could you imagine, why?).
<br>
<br>I thought this was an interesting consideration.
<br>
<br>The 3D Web should bring back geography to the Internet, why I thought DIGITS was Ok as an acronym.
<br>
<br>Second digitus (lat.) = finger and I actually considered, whether UFO pilots hat 2 fingers (they were computers) or 10 (they were humans). Can you catch this? :-)

Interesting Christoph. I had the idea of universes as digits (not sure who was first), but I haven't done anything with the idea. My new idea is that a multipronged virus hits the planet, rendering everything "Normal" (The movie title, or "The Newest Normal") or identical humans, cars, plants, roads, shapes, movies and text in a scene replicated, with different views. I don't have any dialog yet, but there would only be one song.
