Can you compare this X3D scene in view3dscene, X3DJSONLD versus
FreeWRL? I've only seen FreeWRL do what I expect.

Generally, why doesn't this validate? I can't use an IS inside a
fieldValue?

One thing that I've noticed is that the JSON passes the 3.3 JSON
schema, but not the 4.0 JSON schema.

I'm curious as to what changed?

I've attached the validating JSON as well.

It would seem like a good goal would be maintaining compatibility
with 3.3 scenes...

I figured there might be some good purpose for the rubik's
code.

You'll have to tweak the orientation, etc. Possibly swap
colors, etc.

You can also change each color to a stretched box instead of a
2 boxes.

I release this under the Web3D Consortium License, or to the
public domain, whichever you want.

If you need further help, maybe assigning axis, doing the 2D
vertices, let me know

Basic info is: boxproto is a single shape. two is stacked
boxprotos of same color. four is two twos, eight is two fours.
