<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr">Note that this is a very experimental approach, and does not imply bugs in anything but the Blender import code that I am struggling with.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Another interesting challenge. Do these "HAnim" files animate in Blender the same as they do in X3D Browsers? Why or why not? For me in blender, the joint folds up, so that two boxes overlie each other, But X3D browsers, well, look at them. Which is right? Either? I guess I'm missing some constraints?<div><br></div><div>See attached XML and VRML97 files. Movie of Blender (my addon) is here: <a href="https://coderextreme.net/LOAminus1.mp4" target="_blank">https://coderextreme.net/LOAminus1.mp4</a></div><div><br></div><div>Note that I had to comment out USE nodes in the joints field so they wouldn't be drawn in Blender. I guess I might have to ignore the joints field or nodes with containerField="joints" when loading into Blender. Good catch, Joe!</div><div><br></div><div>Yes, castle-model-viewer will complain. The good news is, sunrize now animates without a joints field.</div><div><br></div><div>The X3D-Edit generated .wrl won't animate in castle-model-viewer (there are errors in the TimeSensor), but strangely enough, the .x3d will. I don't get it.</div><div><br></div><div>Note that TimeSensor.bindTime is used in Blender for the start of the animation, I'm pretty sure. I don't think bindTime is in the standard. bindTime is definitely preventing animation in castle-model-viewer. Note: This is not a bug in castle-model-viewer, it's perfectly ok. No need for a response.</div><div><br></div><div>So now with this "working," are there local rotations in Jin? Not that I can see! But maybe if I set the Joint's location to the center field? <a href="https://coderextreme.net/WhereDoIGoFromHere.mp4">https://coderextreme.net/WhereDoIGoFromHere.mp4</a></div><div><br></div><div>I'm guessing I need to set a location in the HAnimJoint's blender object at this point to handle center.</div><div><br></div><div>Note that this is a LOA minus 1 model. Not for real use.</div><div><br></div><div>Hmm! I guess a more principled approach is now necessary.</div><div><br></div><div>John</div></div></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Wed, Jun 5, 2024 at 12:32 AM John Carlson <<a href="mailto:yottzumm@gmail.com" target="_blank">yottzumm@gmail.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">No progress on HAnim imports.
