This annex specifies a list of surface features on the body that can be used for a variety of purposes. These feature points are specified using Displacer nodes whose name field is the H-Anim name of the feature point and whose coordIndex field contains a single value that is the index of the vertex which corresponds most closely to the feature point.
Figure B.1 and Table B.1 are derived from that used in the CAESAR project (see [CAESAR]), with the names modified to match the conventions used in the rest of this International Standard.
The H-Anim list of feature points is in the right hand column of Table B.1. The feature points are derived from the feature points used in the CAESAR project (left hand column), with the names modified to conform with the naming conventions used in the rest of this International Standard.
ISO 7250 contains a widely used set of human measurements that are traditional univariate measures, commonly used in anthropometric surveys. Table B.1 contain lists of feature points that are three dimensional points which have no equivalent or overlap of measurement items in ISO 7250 and were instead derived from a 3D anthropometric study, the CAESAR project. There are a few common anatomically derived terms that are common to H-Anim, CAESAR and ISO 7250. These common terms have the following ISO 7250 identifications:
Some application may use the definitions of these terms from ISO 7250.
The positions of the H-Anim feature points are indicated in Figure B.1 using the position index in the middle column of Table B.1.
