Yes, supported in X3D and early VRML limited only by computing power.
X3D is a highly structured nD data base that is live and interactive,
local or distributed.
Big or little, X3D data types and data structures scale as required.
Big data processing using WebCL and WebGL.
X3D style data typing and organization shows best practices..
Big data like humanoid skins, volumes, and even weather.
