[Web3D2024 Program] working with your committee on the proceedings...

Dear Stephen,

Thank you very much!

May I ask you if the link to the rights form has been modified ?
The one from https://www.siggraph.org/preparing-your-content/author-instructions/#rights-management is pointing now on https://authors.acm.org/
But I don’t see where is the rights form.

Kind regards
Christophe

I've done that.

Would one of you please reach out to Dietmar Aumann and the other author(s) of " Using Signed Distance Fields to Animate 2d Radar and 3d Turbulence Data with WebGL" - they cannot participate in the conference until the rights form is completed. That's the only missing rights form at this point.

Thank you.

Best,
Stephen

Christophe, I will follow up with the authors of that work - they haven't delivered any final materials to TAPS. I'll see if I can convince them to do that. (And no, I cannot use what they delivered to EasyChair; I need the source files, for TAPS, and there are formatting issues to be resolved.)

Best,
Stephen

Dear All,

Sorry for the long delay of my answer.

I also agree to proceed with the abstracts that have been provided.

Stephen, I have checked again easychair and there is an abstract for:
Convergence of IoT, 3D & XR: Creating the Industrial Metaverse Through Live Factory Visualisation (Sommer)
https://easychair.org/conferences/submission_view?a=32521336&submission=6972874

Please find attached this July 22 updated abstract.

Only Aumann and Rocliff haven't provided their abstracts.
I agree that we can proceed without them and just list them in the table of contents.

Thank you again Stephen for all your help !

Kind regards
Christophe

Stephen and other colleagues,
In my opinion, this is balanced solution, yes.
But I would like to see other's opinions.

Augusto, et al.,

I've started working on the conference proceedings; thank you for providing me with the final program and the preface statement. I'm waiting for a revised version of one of the papers, but everything else is in and looks good for publication.

My question is about the Industrial Use Cases being presented at the conference. According to EasyChair, there are six of them:

  1. Using Signed Distance Fields to Animate 2d Radar and 3d Turbulence Data with WebGL (Aumann)
  2. Advances in AI for 3D world and object creation 2024 (Rockliff)
  3. Emerging Platforms in 3D for Art and Cultural Heritage: Applications and Advancements in 3D Imaging for Conservation, Research and Engagement (Parr)
  4. Convergence of IoT, 3D & XR: Creating the Industrial Metaverse Through Live Factory Visualisation (Sommer)
  5. Meeting the Apparel/ Footwear Industries challenges with interoperability, animation chaining and Blender imports (Mcdonald)
  6. Interactive 3D Geospatial Visualization of the Port of Gulfport using X3D (Gomez)
I have abstracts from Parr, Mcdonald and Gomez, and not from the other three.

Would it be OK to list all six of these in the proceedings' table of contents, and include the three articles we DO have? I understand that you gave these participants the option to be included in the conference proceedings, though I find it a little strange that the authors of the three I don't have, have been unresponsive to e-mail.

Best,
Stephen

There are several missing papers and abstracts from TAPS, and I'm wondering if you can help to resolve this issue.

  * Tony Rockliff - "Advances in AI for 3D world and object creation 2024" and Johannes Behr - "Convergence of IoT, 3D & XR: Creating the Industrial Metaverse Through Live Factory Visualisation" - haven't delivered any final materials to TAPS, nor are they responsive to e-mail.
  * Dietmar Aumann - " Using Signed Distance Fields to Animate 2d Radar and 3d Turbulence Data with WebGL" - has not completed their rights form, and are, similarly, unresponsive to e-mail.
Have these presentations been withdrawn from the conference? If they have, please let me know and I'll take appropriate action. If they have not, please contact these authors and direct them to deliver their abstract's final materials to TAPS as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Looking forward to working with you!
