Subject: X3D UI effort
I am thinking about an effort to add typical UI elements to X3D through the
use of X3DUOM, PROTOs and current X3D nodes. I know this is a big
effort. My first effort will be to create horizontal and vertical layouts,
and then move to tables, grids and “masonry.”
Things like raygui and naygui are already on the market and there’s been
fengui for JOGL.
There’s also the feel or user interaction. For that, I will probably use
existing sensors, and develop things like radio buttons, checkboxes and
text input.
I think that X3D can offer features above and beyond what exist for HTML.
