(Speaking as someone from the outside, not a member): This is a *great*
idea, something that I was thinking about but was too shy to propose.
For example seeing spec drafts before they are released, and having a
public bugtracker (where submitter can see and cooperate with how the
issue is handled) instead of just a poor "spec feedback form" --- these
would be great.
The lack of openness is one thing that discourages me from being a
member currently. It feels weird having to pay to enter a closed
environment, just to help develop an open standard. I like to keep as
much opinions as possible open.
