Looking at your model, I think my previous answer was good, flipping ccw 
will get you what you want :)

As additional advice, consider using creaseAngle larger than default, to 
have the geometry appear smoother (view3dscene honors any 
creaseAngle>=pi value as "completely smooth", and other browsers too 
AFAIK). Like

   <IndexedFaceSet creaseAngle="4.0" ...
