X3D-Edit is an open-source Extensible 3D (X3D) Graphics authoring tool for simple error-free editing, authoring and validation of X3D scenes.

Small but helpful usability release today:
a. X3D-Edit Toolbar Buttons include new quick-launch icons and hotkeys for Edit Element (Ctrl+Shift+E) and Xj3D Viewer (Ctrl+Shift+X). These are excellent authoring assists that hopefully make editing even easier & faster. Screenshot attached, long-term image link follows.

b. Xj3D quirks are slowly yielding, hopefully the modified version of Xj3D embedded in X3D-Edit now runs on older versions of Windows. Alternative X3D players are all installable and launchable via X3D-Edit. Screenshot attached, long-term image link follows.

c. Improvements to editor layouts, tooltips, references and slides for IEEE Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) X3D node support: EspduTransform, ReceiverPdu, SignalPdu, TransmitterPdu.

Work in progress: initial testing of DIS support in X3DOM using Open-DIS JavaScript libraries. The Java version of this codebase is working in Xj3D, additional codebase ports are also available in C++ C# and ObjectiveC. Testing and debugging to follow on the X3DOM mailing list.
