The rationale behind the rule „DEF/USE is forbidden for Bindable nodes“ is

Of course, the USE Viewpoint could be in a different Transform causing a
conflict.
Let's see if a script node is affected by the local coordinate system.
'The location of the Script node in the scene graph has no affect on its
operation.'
So, no, and a script node should be able to USE a bindable node as a field.
