live version is pretty wonderfully overwhelming!  might be interesting if you only showed nodes/statements, then expanded them upon hovering/selection.

visualizing individual X3D scenes would be pretty interesting.
- could possibly add ROUTE connections to show inter-relationships within a scene.
- could animate ROUTE connections to show operation, perhaps in concert with event playback or live operation as a means to illustrate dynamic scene behaviors.
