[x3d-public] Questions on correct nodes to display coordinate systems on a map.

I'm looking at way to display and store the graphics or equations behind
coordinate systems in X3D, either as a function, method, data or some
combination. i am not sure which is better. I was wondering if you knew?
I am thinking of "Smooth Collections" (which is a type of shampoo) as a
generalization beyond all possible coordinates or hypercoordinates. Or is
it more like don't mix shampoo with your coffee? Do ESRI shape files
contain methods or functions? Is FVRML and FX3D still not in the
standard? Can we "render" a geoSystem in X3DOM or X_ITE? Is it possible to
create a Skew coordinate system that is displayed?

This is a job for D3.js! or something like it in X3D! Or both!
Another thing that could be shown with similar technology would be property
lines.
Yes, I mean in 3D. Say I wanted to display changing property lines over
time.
I'm pretty sure I could do coordinates with a parametric script.
Thanks,
John
