I noted the discussion of the sound node. I am not sure what the
goals are but great.
I am implementing an in-world mixing control for sound nodes per
classic VRML97. I have it in a proto now
so it can be dropped into worlds with minimum lines of code and pulled
out just as easily. I've tested it
and it works. Nothing fancy and no doubt a better programmer can
improve the functions. As currently
implemented it is a toy because it doesn't support serializing the
settings out for reloading.
This task was on my bucket list from the old days and in these days of
COVID-Go-Away it's opportune.
Happy to share the finished proto to the X3D community. I have been
describing it on Gina's FB page for VRML/X3D
as this mail list appears to be primarily focused on spec work.
Still, if there is still a consortium site
that accepts submissions for reusuable protos, happy to share and document it.
