[x3d-public] Wish list: PLY to X3D JSON or PLY import in X3DJSAIL

I have a partial implementation of PLY -> X3D JSON here:

I know it's likely incomplete, due to lack of appearance and material 
(only geometry, IFS, ILS and color at this point).

If someone could either flesh this out in JavaScript, or convert to Java 
(Contribute to X3DJSAIL) such that it could be exported to X3D JSON, 
that would be really cool.

Also more examples of PLY wanted!
