Getting back to your question:
 
the ALP defines PDUs, that can be transmitted via any transport protocol. So they also support https, for sure.

Hi Chris,

Sorry this is a misconception.

I am not providing any software. The paper is intended to be one of some *starting* points for two independent implementations.

The intention is to let it be a final draft, until volunteers have implemented it. Afterwards it can move on to be released.

Probably it won't be adopted by anyone. That's not my problem ;-)
