I think our best bet is to get other languages to support a trailing f for
floats, and d for double.

I don't know why this wouldn't be possible, and indeed, it may be done in
some cases.

If someone can suggest a language to try beyond Java, let me know.

I think our best bet may be to write a small function or two for each
language.
