[x3d-public] c/c++ compiling help

Once we have at least one app building properly, I will look into how to
build apps with Ant.
Would it be possible to create an “nmakefile” that I could use as an
example? I know the compiler may have limits on number of files. I just
have one file per app, plus whatever library you have. At this point, I
am not focusing on creating apps, I am more checking for type and other
syntax errors in my apps, with those gone, I will switch back to
validation, so I hope you will have some kind of validation of X3D scenes
in your library. XML or JSON output is not required, but may be helpful.
I prefer languages that don’t require building/packaging/etc. At least not
in the dev/test cycle.
I may be able to reconfigure VS Code for MSVS c/c++/c# now that I’ve
installed visual studio. This will be a first step.
What does a red check by the file name in visual studio mean?
Again, I have 4+ weeks before I can really start working on this.
