[x3d-public] x3ogre status?

Can anyone tell me about x3ogre status? It looks like work on a raytracing
viewer was added 4 months ago.  It’s based on C++,  it would be interesting
to hear how that was stuffed into a web browser!   And mobile and desktop
too!
