[x3d-public] HAnim v2 JohnJoint6 thread: Attempt to get more information out ofvertices = 1 geometry

Yes, John, I agree. A LineSet with only one vertex is an error. It only has a from an no to. The user code needs another value to complete the line. The skeleton is being rendered with some lines to connect the joints and some are missing in this skeleton. These bad lineset nodes may be joints or sites of loa4 that are not dimensioned? The way these lines for Segments are drawn is to find the location of the parent joint then draw a line to sibling joint(s).
Plus, by the rules, this should fail validation because all these lines and sites are parented by Joint but instead should be parented by the appropriate Segment. The only legal children of Joint is one or more Segment nodes and one or more Joint nodes.
Thanks,
Joe

Subject: HAnim v2 JohnJoint6 thread: Attempt to get more information out ofvertices = 1 geometry

Attached zip attempts to provide more information about when the # of vertices = 1.   All the information is in JohnJoint6.x3d (in attached zip), and summarized in log.txt.   Also the x3d generator file is provided. Plus an image where you can see some sites!

Do we need to fill in segments yet?

John
