Yes, renders in some old stuff also.
No interctivty in the example but a nice image of a spacetime twister. When you are in there, the axis re no longer perpendicular to each other, and come out in a different order than they went in.
Class in the use of class for material.
Why haven't I heard about this editor before?

Plotting in X3DOM is achieving pretty amazing capabilities. Full-screen images illustrate how the model is providing excellent interactive visualizations. Added here is link to a hi-resolution image captured on a cell phone, where the 3D plot is viewable and manipulable even on a small screen.
