[x3d-public] Change to List Configuration

This Thursday (23 November) the configuration of this mailing list will
change. It is changing to allow messages from domains that have a DMARC
(https://dmarc.org/) policy to reject messages that cannot be verified
as being from that domain. Since the list software changes the sender,
any messages from a domain with that policy should be returned by the
recipient's mail server.

This is most frequently seen when the originator of the message is from
yahoo.com and a list member has a gmail.com domain. Yahoo.com has a
DMARC policy requesting that the recipient reject all messages not
directly from Yahoo. Gmail implements that policy on the recipient side.

The change is to force all messages to originate from the web3d.org
domain by rewriting various email headers. This *WILL *change the FROM
name & address and will impact /Reply /and /Reply-All /features of your
mail client.

When sending email, please make sure your address is included in the
body of the message (even in an encoded form -- e.g., webmaster AT web3d
DOT org).

When replying to a message, please verify that the /To/ field is correct
(either the list or person).

Different mail clients may work slightly differently. If you are having
difficulties, email x3d-public-owner at web3d.org and include your email
client and message header. You can always read messages at
http://web3d.org/pipermail/x3d-public_web3d.org/ (mailing list archive).
